Saccade Rhythms

This series was born of a curiosity about illusion and perception in the hallucinatory netherworld of jetlag. A place, like travel itself, where experiences are fascinating yet unfamiliar and confusing.

 

A place where upset rhythms of wakefulness and rest seem to amplify the normal imperceptibe vissual saccades and invite through the soft gaze of fatigue abstractions of form, colour, and composition. Flashes of awareness that are just perception.
